At least we have a Camaro to look at.
Volvo 240 DL for your time
Can't tell if it's hurricane related or not. We're about an hour from DC so it's probably normal.

Is this hurricane exodus?

That’s why we’re here. Wer e supposed to be in SC til Wednesday. The relatives we stayed with got the hell out of there.

Well I hope everything rides the storm out.

What part of SC?

Little River. It's about a mile from NC right on the coast.

Between Richmond and DC is a hellhole. I live in dc suburbs, parents live in North Carolina. We drove overnight with the kids to avoid that shit

Me too. If it hits there hard we'll have some house guests in WV. 3 adults 2 cats and a dog. Since we already have 3 cats and a dog... I'm not looking forward to that

True. I thought we left early enough to avoid most of the exodus. I was wrong. Lots of FL and GA license plates

If you're stopping for dinner in DC metro, I can steer you places. Alexandria could be a decent stop in an hour or two. 176 ish

Thanks for the offer. I just want to get home and drink some beers.

That looks like a 1LE, did it have a black hood? Track Camaros are fun!

No I think he stuck the wing on top of the stock spoiler. It had an SS badge

Most of Virginia is like that, the whole part from Richmond north to DC, you’re lucky if you can average more than 25mph. As for the rest of the state, I-81 is always a hellhole of trucks doing 55mph uphill in the left lane in a 65 zone to pass other trucks doing 54 in the right lane.

Ah gotcha. The 1LE package is available on the SS Camaros too but it’d have the black hood if it had the full track support.

Yeah I never enjoy 95. The gps told us we’d be home in 2 hours... for 2 hours. At least we’re on 66 now with almost no traffic. 81 comes next.

Ok. I didn't see the hood, but the wing wasn't put on the greatest. So I'd guess no.

Going south I-95 was wide open - I was doing 75 from the time I got out of the Baltimore tunnels until I got back to our place near Springfield. Very weird for a Labor Day weekend. I was thinking it was going to be a terrible drive back from Philly but it was a cakewalk.

1 pretty much parallels 95, it’s a great alternative when 95 goes south. You can also cut the corner on the Prince William Parkway to get to 66, which can be a lot faster, but many GPS’s won’t route you on it.

Richmond north to DC
That pretty much starts in Norfolk.

We jump to 66 on 17. Once we got off 95 the traffic was gone. Completely gone.

Going north towards DC was cake in the face

95 is a parking lot on most holiday weekends. Add in hurricane exodus and I can only imagine the traffic hell. Good luck!

I'm already home drinking a beer. Thanks for the well wishes anyway.

Ouch, it’s as a rule terrible, but probably way worse this weekend.
